This Privacy Policy explains how NiONlite LLC ("NiONlite", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use HaulMargin ("HaulMargin" or the "App") on iOS, iPadOS, the Apple App Store, or TestFlight. HaulMargin is a freight load profitability calculator for estimating miles, fuel, tolls, operating costs, profit per mile, and minimum rate.
Plain-language summary: HaulMargin does not require a NiONlite account. Saved load estimates are stored on your device. If you use current location or address suggestions, Apple location, geocoding, and map services may process the information needed to estimate the route. Subscription purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Enter
- Load details: load name, load date, origin, pickup, dropoff, offered pay, target profit, miles, tolls, fuel price, MPG, maintenance cost, fixed cost, driver pay, dispatch fee, and factoring percentage.
- Saved estimates: named estimates you choose to save, including the inputs above and the date they were updated.
- Support messages: information you include when emailing support@nionlite.com or sharing feedback from the App.
Information Processed Automatically
- Location: with your permission, HaulMargin can use your current location to estimate deadhead miles to pickup.
- Addresses and route data: the App uses Apple MapKit, geocoding, local search, and directions services to provide address suggestions and mileage estimates.
- Purchase status: the App uses Apple StoreKit to load subscription products, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether HaulMargin Pro is active.
- Crash and diagnostic data: Apple may provide crash logs, diagnostics, app performance information, and TestFlight feedback through App Store Connect or TestFlight tools.
Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
- We do not require you to create a NiONlite account to use HaulMargin.
- We do not operate a NiONlite-hosted database of your saved load estimates in the current App.
- We do not collect payment card numbers; Apple handles App Store and in-app purchase payments.
- We do not sell your personal information.
2. How We Use Information
- To calculate load profitability, total costs, net profit, profit per mile, and minimum acceptable rate.
- To estimate loaded miles and deadhead miles using origin, pickup, dropoff, or current location when enabled.
- To let you save, open, update, and delete estimates on your device.
- To provide free and Pro feature access, including subscription status and purchase restoration.
- To respond to feedback, support, privacy, or legal requests.
- To diagnose crashes, bugs, and performance issues using Apple-provided diagnostics where available.
3. Local Storage
HaulMargin stores saved estimates on your device using platform app storage. These saved estimates remain on the device until you delete them in the App, uninstall the App, erase the device, or otherwise remove app data through iOS controls. Because this data is stored locally in the current App, NiONlite may not be able to access or delete it for you.
4. Location and Maps
Location access is optional. If you turn on "Use current location for deadhead," iOS will ask for location permission. HaulMargin uses your current location only to estimate deadhead miles to pickup. You can deny or later change location permission in iOS Settings.
Address suggestions and mileage estimates depend on Apple map, search, geocoding, and directions services. Apple may process address, location, device, and request information according to Apple's policies and system settings.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
HaulMargin Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple. Apple processes payment, billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, trial eligibility, and subscription management through your Apple ID. HaulMargin receives entitlement information from StoreKit so the App can determine whether Pro features are active. We do not receive your full payment card information.
6. Third-Party Services
- Apple: App Store, TestFlight, StoreKit subscriptions, current location permission, Core Location, MapKit, geocoding, directions, diagnostics, and crash reporting.
- Email client and provider: when you choose to send feedback, your email provider processes the email you send to support@nionlite.com.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Saved estimates remain on your device until deleted by you or removed through device/app controls. Feedback emails and support messages may be retained as needed to respond to you, maintain records, improve the App, or comply with legal obligations. Apple-provided diagnostics and transaction information may be retained according to Apple's policies and developer tools.

8. Your Choices
- You can use HaulMargin without enabling current location.
- You can manually enter route miles and tolls instead of using route estimation.
- You can delete saved estimates in the App.
- You can change location permission in iOS Settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID subscription settings.
- You can contact us for privacy requests at support@nionlite.com.
9. Children's Privacy
HaulMargin is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. International Processing
NiONlite is based in the United States. Apple and other service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on our website.
